Sturbridge, MA, commemorated a forgotten Civil War soldier September 21 and 22, 2002;  The 28th name was added to Roll of War Dead
On September 22 the town of Sturbridge honored William L. Blood, F/15, who was mistakenly omitted when Sturbridge erected the monument to its war dead in 1871. Blood was killed at Antietam, as were two other townsmen in the 15th who are memorialized on the stone.

For those who couldn't attend, a few photos.
