The roster has been redesigned to include much accumulating biographical and genealogical information. (Dec 2003).	And read the superb unit history with details of many members.

The 15th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry was recruited in Worcester County, the Leominster and Fitchburg units being old militia companies, while the others were raised by voluntary enlistment in the early summer of 1861.
